City Sings Gospel presents:

International Gospel Arts Partnership Summit

The world is descending on Liverpool this year for a jammed packed programme of cultural events and shows including a festival dedicated to Gospel Music- City Sings Gospel. There will be over fifteen unforgettable days of events, the first gospel music heritage exhibition of its kind in the UK, an international summit, a feast of gospel concerts, a massive street party (Festival of Hope) and a walk under the Mersey.

Anfield, usually the Mecca of football fans will become the centre of the Gospel Music world on Saturday June 7th. Gospel Artistes and professionals from Africa to the USA are gathering for the International Gospel Arts Partnership Summit at Anfield’s Liverpool Lighthouse. Delegates will meet to hear about the upward surge of gospel music in different parts of the world, forge new links, showcase new talent, explore the theme of partnership and learn about current developments in the industry.

Festival consultant, Roy Francis said “The summit pulls together important and inspirational figures from the music industry for a day of discussions, networking and sharing ideas. We’re delighted to have Michael Coleman founder and President of Integrity Music USA, renowned Professor Pastor Alvin Parris from USA, Noel Robinson UK worship leader, Karen Gibson- leader of Kingdom Choir among others, all offering insights into current industry developments and good practices with gospel music. Delegates will get to learn directly from the best as well as from each other.”

People with in the industry and those wishing to break in will have the opportunity to attend workshops, a speed networking session, and a showcase concert in the evening.

This conference is a real tangible chance for delegates to learn how they can harness the power of working in partnership with others. We’ll discuss what is happening in other regions and what is working well elsewhere,” said Pastor Tani Omideyi of City Sings Gospel.

In the evening, the Summit will end with a major international Gospel Arts concert in Liverpool Lighthouse’s Kings Hall.  Organisers are welcoming submissions for additional performers for the showcase concert which they hope will cover a variety of genres from across the world.

Artists, musicians, choirs, dancers, managers, choir directors, presenters, choreographers, promoters, recording and film industry personnel, DJs and others actively involved in gospel arts are invited to register for this important event by downloading a form from www.csg08.com
